Built in 1972 and holding over 55,000 people, Tafawa Balewa Square is Nigeria's foremost ceremonial ground and games centre. Felmos Engineering carried out an in-situ non-destructive integrity test on all the structural members within the facility — the pavilion, the towers, the terrace and the office complex among them — working throughout with ultrasonic equipment so that a building of this standing was never cut into.
